Strange problem after some HP updates blocking access to USB devices on a client laptop
- Open Control Panel
- Open System and Security
- Open HP Client Security
- In the third column, select device permissions.
- There will be an icon titled “change” on the top right of the Access column, click it.
- Click yes on the pop up window
- On the access drop down menu adjacent to “Removable Storage (ex. USB drives)”, click “allow – full access”
